Our Mission

At  the North Carolina Association for Immigrants, our mission is to enhance the lives of immigrants by providing comprehensive resources and support throughout the state.

We achieve this through a centralized online resource center, strategic partnerships with community organizations, and capacity building initiatives.

Our Staff

Adelen Kirkland is our founder and Executive Director. When humanitarian cuts under the new administration led to mass layoffs—including her own—Adelen turned this challenge into an opportunity. Driven by her passion for supporting refugees and immigrants, she founded this organization to ensure that individuals, regardless of status, have access to vital resources and education across North Carolina.

Volunteers

We need dedicated volunteers to help make our resources accessible to everyone. You can support us by:

  • Translating our website and class materials
  • Providing interpretation for online or in-person classes
  • Reviewing website and class materials for accuracy

Your skills can make a real difference in the lives of immigrants. Join us today by emailing akirkland@immigrantsnc.org
