Sometimes international students cannot go home safely due to war, persectuction, and more. They should meet with a legal service provider in the community to see what they may qualify for.
International students can be vulernable to human trafficking in the U.S. or on the way to coming into the U.S. If this has happened to you, you may reach out to the Office of Trafficking in Persons (OTIP) and/or to a legal service to see what you qualify for or what services may be offered to you.
Most univeristies and colleges have an international student office, check with them to see if they know of any on-campus or off-campus resouces they work with reguraily. These can include food pantries, clothing assistance, emgerency financial assistance, and more.
Check on your county's website to see what local resources may help you with things like emergency financial assistance, food and clothing assitance, medical care, and more.
